We collect used stamps and sell them to raise much needed funds for various charities.
Did you know that for $25.00 a blind person can regain their vision? Such is the work of the Northern Territory Outreach Optometry Project which co-ordinates eye care to remote communities in the Top End through the Fred Hollows Foundation.
Cataract blindness is the most common cause of blindness in the world today – and can be cured with the insertion of an intra-ocular lens.
If Philatelic Garbology continues to be supported by all Clubs we can reasonably expect to restore sight to many of our fellow Australians in 2010/2011 – and you don’t have to spend a cent!
